Frozen boletus *

  • Frozen ceps (boletus) 1 class LUX . Hole mushrooms, 2-4 cm, white cap bottom
  • Frozen boletus 1 class . Hole mushrooms, 4-6 cm, white cap bottom
  • Frozen boletus 1 class . Hole mushrooms, 4-9 cm, white or light yellow cap bottom
  • Frozen boletus 2 class . Hole mushrooms, 4-12 cm, yellow cap bottom
  • Frozen boletus cubs 1 class. Cubs 2×3 cm , mainly from stems and caps with white cap bottom
  • Frozen boletus cubs 2 class. Cubs 2×3 cm , mainly from caps with white or yellow cap bottom
  • Frozen boletus cubs 3 class. Cubs 2×3 cm , mainly from caps with yellow or green cap bottom

Fresh frozen Chanterelles

Frozen blanched Chanterelles
‘Blanched’ means that mushroom is boiled for a while before freezing. This action is to take away “bitter’ taste of frozen chanterelle. However observations of many years shows that “bitter taste” mostly is the result of not correct freezing or too long store of mushrooms. Also fresh frozen mushrooms can be with good taste

Salted mushrooms are fresh mushrooms preserved in salted water for some time

By demand we can also offer dried Boletus mushrooms, Chantrells, Gyromitra esculenta and some other less often used mushrooms from Baltic region and adjacent area

General specification

Storage and best before

All mushrooms should be store at -18 C (or deeper minus temperature). Best before data is 2 years after production.

Some common features

  • For Boletus mushrooms (ceps) is important % of worm and wormholes in mushroom. It can differ every year but usually for A class mushrooms it is till 5%, for B class till 15%.
  • For Chanterelles mushrooms can be cleaner or more dirty, it depends from how wet is season
  • Other features like radioactivity level in Bq, origin, crop year etc. should be specified separately for each lot

Packing types

  • Usually 5 to 10 kg plastic bag in cartoon, round 400 kg on one euro-pallet.
